Position Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Norfolk, VA

Status: Contract - 12 months.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6 pm-6 am). Work 4 on, 4 Off.

Pay Range: US$24.55 - $27.81 /hr W-2

Requirements / Who we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Mathematical skills, including operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and time.
• Moderate-to-quick typing skills.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Background in Customer Service and Transportation/Shipping/Logistics.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Strong communication skills, able to quickly, simply, and effectively articulate concepts.

Desired Characteristics:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a transportation-related program.
• Prior experience in logistics, freight, and/or driver management.
• Ability to use business-specific software programs, specifically SAP.
• Experience in VWTS Field Services or Plant Production.
• Knowledge of VWTS mobile water applications.

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

Under the direction of the site DC Manager, works closely with deployment, customer-facing supply chain and project managers to:

• Coordinate deployment of materials into the e-commerce warehouse to insure customer order fulfillment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of the e-commerce warehouse.
• In conjunction with DC Operations, ensure the e-commerce warehouse is staffed to meet daily customer demands.
• Liaison with internal and external transportation groups to ensure capacity is available for daily e-commerce shipments.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of put-away strategies and replenishment activities for the local facility.
• Participates in network continuous improvement projects to include future state initiatives.
• Operate various computer terminals, printers, and scanners to assist with the execution of job duties.
• Ability to flex work schedule to meet demands of e-commerce business, as well as provide training and general assistance to future deployment locations.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
