Bay Country Contractors is seeking a Civil Construction Project & Bid Coordinator to support both our pre-construction and project management teams. This role is essential in managing the bid process and coordinating project execution in multiple projects across Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in civil construction bidding and project coordination.
Compensation:$60,000 - $75,000 yearly
Responsibilities:Bid Coordination & Pre-Construction:
- Identify and track bid opportunities from public and private sources.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring all required documents, pricing, and subcontractor/vendor quotes are included.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to identify scope, requirements, and potential risks.
- Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and cost estimates.
- Maintain bid calendars, deadlines, and follow-up schedules.
- Manage and update bid databases, prequalification forms, and client/vendor relationships.
Project Coordination & Execution:
- Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and executing civil construction projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely material delivery.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Monitor project progress and budgets, identifying potential issues and assisting in problem resolution.
- Support the preparation of reports, invoices, and project closeout documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in civil construction estimating, bid coordination, project coordination, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequence.
- Proficiency in bid management and estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and other project management tools.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze project requirements.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and bid documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
