PRN Cardiac, Vascular and Thoracic (CVT) Surgeon weekend call coverage (Arlington)
Responsibilities
- Provide on-call, as-needed coverage for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery services at VHC, Inpatient and ER.
- Manage a limited number of inpatient cases, with a focus on post-operative care and management
- Perform both cardiac and thoracic surgeries as needed, with an emphasis on urgent or emergent procedures
- Maintain a high standard of care and quality in all patient interactions and procedures
- Work collaboratively with mid-level providers for patient care support
Minimum Requirements
- MD or DO
- Currently licensed or able to obtain the license in Virginia
- Successful completion of residency program in Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship training in Cardio or Thoracic Surgery
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Training and familiarity in the use of EPIC (EMR) preferred
