About this position:
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to contribute to the configuration and integration of "out-of-the-box" ServiceNow solutions, tailoring them to meet unique business needs. You will collaborate across various ServiceNow modules, ensuring efficient, scalable implementations while following best practices. In this role, you'll participate in the full software development lifecycle, working on exciting federal government projects and expanding your expertise in ServiceNow's capabilities.
Salary Range: 90k - 140k - commensurate with the candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications.
Experience Levels:
Minimum of 2 years of ServiceNow Development experience.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Develop and maintain scoped applications within ServiceNow.
- Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Catalog Items, and Record Producers.
- Collaborate in agile development environments.
- Integrate external systems using REST, SOAP, and other secure protocols.
- Follow ServiceNow best practices including use of Update Sets , Application Repository , and code migration methods.
- Contribute to platform documentation and knowledge-sharing.
Required Education/Qualifications:
- Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proficient in scripting within the ServiceNow platform, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Pages
- Experience with one or more of the following modules: HRSD, ITSM, CMDB, PPM
- Hands-on experience with key ServiceNow development concepts, including:
- Access Control List (ACL) security model and its order of operations
- GlideRecord and other core ServiceNow APIs
- Optimized data exchange between server-side and client-side scripts
- Development and execution of Business Rules
- Agile methodologies and delivery within sprint cycles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sharp attention to detail
- Effective team collaborator with the ability to work in cross-functional agile environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Application Developer (CAD) strongly preferred
- Experience with:
- Foundational development languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS)
- Application integration technologies (SSO, SAML, SSL, LDAP, JDBC)
- Federal government contracting experience
