Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Stafford, VA (On-site) Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Stafford, VA. In this critical role, you will be a key player in upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in our manufacturing processes. You will not only inspect products but also play a pivotal role in ensuring our suppliers consistently meet our rigorous product specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform meticulous inspections of incoming materials, including electro-mechanical parts, assemblies, printed circuit boards (PCBs), cable assemblies, and composite materials, ensuring they conform to engineering drawings and quality standards.

• Utilize a variety of metrology equipment to measure dimensions and features, accurately comparing results to established data packages.

• Identify and document non-conforming materials , creating detailed reports that include corrective actions. You will present these findings to the material review board and support supplier quality initiatives, such as Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).

• Collaborate directly with suppliers to maintain the quality of all incoming materials and components.

• Support the quality team in maintaining robust quality control systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Relevant Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree. Candidates with significant hands-on experience using metrology equipment will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Proven experience with quality control and inspection of electro-mechanical parts, assemblies, PCBs, or machined parts.

• Strong functional knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills , with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001 is a plus.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

• Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time for on-site supplier inspections.
