Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a Reading Teacher position that is availableat Margaret Beeks Elementaryfor the school year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License with an endorsement in Elementary Pre K - 6 or Reading Specialist
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes collaboration and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability punctuality and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with early literacy programs
• Endorsement as a Reading Specialist
• Experienced or have working familiarity with intervention programs
• Experience or working familiarity with virtual education

FLSA: Exempt

SALARY: $52832.35 - $85613.64 annually; with benefits; commensurate with experience; prorated to start date
