Job Summary:

Our growing Finance & Accounting Team seeks an Accounting Manager to assist with our monthly and annual consolidated financial reporting requirements. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and implementing efficient processes and controls.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.
• Lead month-end close and financial statement preparation including journal entry review and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain financial reporting systems.
• Implement/document processes and controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Partner with company controller to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Provide cross functional support to leadership throughout the organization to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies.
• Partner with FP&A to perform ad-hoc financial and operational analyses as needed.
• Actively participate in implementation of Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central.

Your Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Government contracting industry.
• Minimum 2 years of team leadership/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP required.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central a plus, QuickBooks experience helpful.
• Demonstrated experience with process improvement and documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to proactively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Current or previous experience with a federal government contractor and/or technology companies preferred.
• Previous public accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government-issued security clearance.
• Must be willing to work full time in our office. May alternate schedule between Leesburg and Vienna, Virginia locations.
