About The Role

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with hands-on expertise in deploying and maintaining containerized applications in Kubernetes environments , particularly Red Hat OpenShift . This is a privileged user role , fully on-site in a Herndon SCIF, supporting secure, mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, manage, and maintain systems on OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms

• Troubleshoot complex issues in containerized and virtual environments

• Perform privileged administrative tasks in secure systems

• Support container deployment, configuration, automation, and orchestration

• Administer PKI-secured networks and Linux/UNIX systems; script in Bash and Python

• Collaborate with developers and security teams to ensure compliance

• Maintain documentation and support RMF processes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active TS clearance with SCI adjudication and ability to obtain CI Polygraph

• BA/BS degree with 5 years experience

• Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification

• Eligible and willing to serve as a privileged user

• 5+ years of IT systems administration experience

• 5+ years administering Linux/UNIX systems

• 5+ years scripting with Bash and Python

• 2+ years deploying and administering containerized systems (Kubernetes/OpenShift)

• 2+ years managing PKI-secured networks

• 1+ year working with Apache NiFi

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years administering systems in AWS

• 2+ years CI/CD with Jenkins

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS

• Familiarity with RMF, system A&A processes, and documentation practices

• Experience using requirements management or traceability tools

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
