We are seeking a highly skilled person to provide operational leadership and technical expertise in support of classified and unclassified IT systems. This role requires a proven leader with hands-on experience across full system lifecycles, infrastructure management, system administration, and cybersecurity in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & Infrastructure Support

• Lead operational support for IT environments, ensuring full life-cycle support including troubleshooting, design, maintenance, cybersecurity, and user support.
• Oversee infrastructure management: day-to-day operations, capacity planning, resiliency improvements, performance monitoring, incident/problem/change/configuration management.
• Deliver technical and operational services including planning, designing, developing, implementing, upgrading, securing, and documenting IT systems.

Systems & Platforms Support

• Administer and maintain a variety of Operating Systems (Windows, RedHat, RedHawk, HPUX, Solaris, AIX, OpenVMS, CentOS, and real-time operating systems).
• Provide support across diverse server hardware architectures (VAX, ALPHA, SPARC, x86, PA-RISC, Concurrent).
• Manage enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, controllers, fiber switch technologies) from vendors such as NetApp, Vast, Dell EMC, Synology, and Quantum.

Disaster Recovery & Data Protection

• Support disaster recovery operations ensuring compliance with mission recovery requirements.
• Manage backup and recovery solutions including tape jukeboxes, smart disk systems, and system imaging tools (Dell EMC, Networker, Quantum, Clonezilla, etc.).

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience with:
• Operating systems design and implementation for DoD programs.
• Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and VMWare .
• Enterprise storage systems (NetApp, EMC, Vast).
• Networking technologies, including TCP/IP.

Certification: IAT II certification. (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, Security+CE, etc.)

Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance .

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise-scale IT operations and cyber defense environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL or DoD IT service management practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
• Naval experience.
