Join a dynamic hospital-based Gastroenterology team in Midlothian, VA for weekend locum coverage ! Perfect opportunity for experienced Gastroenterologists seeking flexible schedules and hands-on procedural work. (21805)

📅 Assignment Details:

• Type: Locum Coverage – Weekends

• Schedule: Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM (specific dates Jan–Jun 2026)

• Practice Setting: Hospital / Outpatient Clinic

• EMR: Epic

• Patient Population: Adult, Hospital & Outpatient

👩‍⚕️ Responsibilities & Procedures:
Perform a full range of Gastroenterology procedures including:

• Colonoscopy & Sigmoidoscopy 🩺

• Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD) with Biopsy, Foreign Body Removal, Variceal Banding, Injection, and ERCP

• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) [Preferred]

• Liver Biopsy & Small Bowel Biopsy

• Esophageal Dilatation & Manometry Interpretation

• Insertion/Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube

• On average: 8 procedures per weekend

💻 Requirements:

• Board-Certified in Gastroenterology ✅

• Active Virginia Medical License ✅

• ERCP proficiency required ✅

• EUS preferred

• Flu shot required; COVID vaccine highly preferred

• Clean malpractice history

💰 Compensation & Benefits:

• 24-hour flat rate

• Travel reimbursement

• Estimated 90 days
