Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to lead architecture and strategy for enterprise-scale IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies , DevOps , and Agile/Scrum frameworks, with the ability to serve as a technical lead and advisor across a complex technology landscape. This is a hybrid role based in Richmond, VA , requiring strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical lead on large-scale IT projects, guiding architecture and implementation from end to end.

• Define and implement enterprise-level architecture using Azure Cloud Services including:

  • Azure App Services

  • Azure Functions

  • Azure DevOps

  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

  • Azure Storage

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs , microservices , and serverless applications.

• Lead CI/CD pipeline development and automate infrastructure using ARM templates , Bicep , or Terraform .

• Monitor and optimize performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights .

• Work with both SQL and NoSQL database platforms, such as Azure SQL and Cosmos DB .

• Promote secure coding practices , role-based access control (RBAC) , and adherence to compliance frameworks like GDPR and ISO .

• Guide junior developers and foster best practices, code quality, and mentorship.

• Collaborate with Product Owners , Scrum Masters , and key business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Effectively communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 15+ years of IT experience, with 13+ years in a technical leadership role.

• 10+ years of experience with Azure Cloud services.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET, Python, or JavaScript .

• 10+ years of designing and deploying RESTful APIs and microservices .

• 10+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code .

• Strong knowledge of Azure monitoring/logging tools and cloud-based database solutions.

• Proven experience guiding teams through the full SDLC in Agile/Scrum environments .

• Demonstrated problem-solving , architectural decision-making , and communication skills across distributed teams.
