Job Description
The Director Marketing (Health Plans & Government Programs) is responsible for leading a team that develops, plans, implements and evaluates sales and/or business development marketing strategies, as well as defines audience‑appropriate tactics and distribution channels for Prime’s clients and/or members. This role provides an integrated and strategic approach to marketing and communications planning, understanding the company’s business objectives and translating them into effective and compelling communications.
Responsibilities
- Monitor relevant market conditions and trends to drive effective messaging and tactics to targeted audiences.
- Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of strategic sales, product or consumer communication campaigns and materials, including creative design.
- Provide thoughtful team direction and elevate team performance toward reaching business and client goals; clearly communicate roles and expectations.
- Provide writing/editorial expertise in support of driving key messaging and marketing objectives.
- Oversee the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives and projects.
- Lead a team of marketers to develop and support materials, communications and the cross‑functional Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
- Manage staffing, performance and development, and consistently demonstrate Prime’s leadership expectations during interactions with direct reports, cross‑functional and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required.
- 8 years of work experience in marketing, with a focus on product marketing or new business development.
- 5 years of leadership/people management experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to express ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, paired with strong listening skills.
- Proven track record of leadership capabilities including building morale, developing people and creating positive team dynamics.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously through ongoing change, without compromising quality.
- Brand development and positioning experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), health care or Finance experience.
- Sales and account management experience.
Compensation
Potential pay ranges from $124,000.00 – $211,000.00 based on experience and skills.
