Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Truss Designer to work closely with our engineering and construction teams to create, analyze, and optimize truss designs for various building projects. As a Truss Designer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and efficiency of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Trusses: Develop truss designs using specialized software and tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local building codes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate truss designs seamlessly into the overall building plans.
- Analysis: Perform structural analysis and load calculations to determine the strength and stability of truss systems.
- Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance truss designs for cost-effectiveness and improved performance.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed truss drawings, specifications, and documentation to facilitate the construction process.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure that truss designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with building codes and regulations to ensure designs are in compliance with local and national standards.
- Communication: Collaborate with the production team to provide guidance and clarification on truss design specifications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Truss Designer
- Proficiency in truss design software and CAD programs.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations in Virginia.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
