Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Jobs in this job family are responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to support patient care, clinical research, and medical education. These roles utilize advanced imaging technologies-such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology-to produce high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of medical conditions.

These jobs involve using radioactive materials (radiopharmaceuticals) to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Professionals in this field perform imaging and therapeutic procedures that provide information about the function of organs and tissues, as well as treating certain conditions with targeted radiation.

Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. ?

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.

Experience: None

Licensure: Registered Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or CNMT certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to, cold, dust, noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The starting base rate for this role is $39.25 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
