Electrician Needed – Equipment Maintenance Technician
Location: Virginia Beach – Lynnhaven Industrial ParkPay: $20–$24/hr (based on experience)
DBS Staffing Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrician with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills to join our client’s maintenance team. This role focuses on servicing and repairing janitorial and commercial cleaning equipment, with an emphasis on electrical and electronic systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in janitorial equipment (floor machines, vacuums, buffers, laundry/kitchen systems).
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage circuits, wiring, and control boards.
- Replace faulty parts, motors, switches, and wiring components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and keep detailed service records.
- Travel to local client sites (within 1 hour) to perform on-site equipment repairs.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and meets electrical standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical systems preferred.
- Proven experience as an Electrician, Electrical Technician, or Maintenance Technician .
- Strong knowledge of circuits, wiring, and low-voltage electronics.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift/move equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
