Summary: This position provides administrative and secretarial support for the operations department. In addition to typing, filing, performs duties such driver acceptance check-in's, obtaining supplies, researching claims, COD's and POD's, providing customer support to the customers of ADL Delivery & ensure all deliveries are handled within customers expectations and company policy. This position will deal with a diverse group of important external callers as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions):
- Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the operations department. Retrieves information from files when needed. Establishes, develops, maintains and updates all internal filing related to the operations department.
- Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls.
- Sorts and distributes inter-office mail/ email.
- Answers phone calls from ADL's customer service or customers to provide them with delivery information, POD requests, claim verifications and any other information that is requested.
- Works independently and within a team.
- Coordinates division of workload with the administrative assistant in community relations.
- Reconciling COD's and preparing any related documents.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by supervisor
