Optical Technician/Receptionist

We are seeking a part-time or full-time team member. Hours are flexible between Monday and Saturday. Some Saturday availability is required.
Duties will mostly include:
Pretesting patients by collecting medical histories, chief complaints, and family histories
Performing basic diagnostic tests, such as checking eye pressure, taking retinal images, and checking vision
Teaching patients how to properly insert and remove contact lenses
Disinfecting exam and work-up rooms
Supporting doctors with any additional tasks during examinations
The new team member will also be cross-trained to help with various receptionist duties, such as:
Checking patients in and out
Collecting co-pays and other payments
Answering phones, scheduling, and confirming appointments
Pulling insurance authorizations and checking eligibility

Education:
An associate's degree, or equivalent work experience in similar positions, including formal training in clerical tasks and handling a variety of organizational duties.

Ability to work well with other staff members in a team environment
