Nuvitek is seeking a Director of Accounts to lead and scale growth across our federal account portfolio. This is a senior management role with direct responsibility for account performance, revenue growth, and team execution across all assigned accounts.
The Director of Accounts will manage a team of Account Executives while remaining actively engaged in key accounts and strategic opportunities. This individual is ultimately accountable for growth performance within assigned accounts and serves as a critical bridge between sales, growth strategy, business development, and delivery execution.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate at both the executive and tactical levels, setting strategy, coaching teams, engaging customers, and ensuring disciplined execution and reporting.
Account and Revenue Leadership
- Own revenue growth targets across all assigned accounts
- Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned to Nuvitek’s overall growth objectives
- Ensure expansion of both new and existing work within key federal accounts
- Maintain executive-level awareness of account health, risks, and opportunities
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage Account Executives assigned to federal accounts
- Set clear expectations, goals, and accountability for AE performance
- Coach AEs on account strategy, customer engagement, and opportunity development
- Drive consistent sales discipline, CRM usage, and forecasting rigor across the team
Strategic Customer Engagement
- Engage directly with senior government leaders in key accounts
- Support and participate in high-priority meetings and strategic pursuits
- Build and sustain executive-level relationships across agencies
- Position Nuvitek as a trusted, long-term mission partner
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate closely with growth, capture, and delivery leadership to ensure alignment
- Ensure smooth coordination between account strategy and execution
- Provide clear direction on account priorities and resource needs
- Translate customer needs into actionable internal plans
Reporting, Forecasting, and Visibility
- Own account-level forecasting, pipeline health, and revenue reporting
- Provide regular executive-level reporting
- Ensure accurate CRM data, opportunity tracking, and growth metrics
- Identify trends, gaps, and risks and proactively recommend corrective actions
- 10 to 15+ years of experience in federal sales, account management, business development, or growth leadership
- Prior experience managing Account Executives or sales teams
- Demonstrated success owning and delivering revenue targets across multiple accounts
- Strong understanding of federal sales cycles, budgeting, and procurement
- Working knowledge of delivery operations and how growth translates into execution
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior government leaders
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically
- CRM and forecasting discipline required
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
