Summer 2026 Sales Engineering Intern

Our company specializes in providing top-notch consulting services centered around the Google Cloud Platform, helping clients transform and grow their businesses. As a Sales Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in developing cloud architectures, understanding client's technical needs, sales strategies, and supporting engineering engagements. You will collaborate with our Sales team to document and uncover customer needs, assist in progressing sales cycles, and support our initiatives to deliver exceptional client solutions.

Sales Engineering is a unique field at the intersection of technology and business. SZNS is seeking technically competent applicants that are also interested in the business side of technology. If you love to tinker with code and enjoy public speaking, this may be the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to identify potential clients and better understand existing clients.
• Assist the Sales team with demand generation and outreach.
• Assist the Sales team in preparing sales pitches and presentations.
• Perform technical discovery process for new clients.
• Support customer relationship management and help maintain customer outreach initiatives.
• Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance your understanding of our solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and improve sales strategies.
• Help track sales metrics and prepare reports for analysis.
• Interns will work in the Reston office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be based in the DMV area and be able to commute to our Reston office at least 3 times a week.

Preferred qualifications

• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
• Basic understanding of business and sales processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
