About the Role:

The Housekeeping role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and residents. This position involves thorough cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas, ensuring that all spaces meet high standards of hygiene and presentation. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall guest experience by providing meticulous attention to detail and prompt service. This role requires consistent adherence to safety protocols and efficient time management to complete tasks within designated schedules. Ultimately, the Housekeeping professional plays a vital part in supporting the reputation and operational excellence of the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and ability to use cleaning equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Good communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services in a hospitality or residential setting.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning and sanitation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Certification in cleaning or hospitality services is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing rooms and common areas.
  • Change linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels in guest rooms or assigned spaces.
  • Inspect rooms and facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met and report any maintenance issues.
  • Follow established safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a healthy environment for guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and respond to special cleaning requests promptly.

Communication skills enable effective interaction with guests and coordination with team members to ensure smooth operations.
