Description
ACT1 Federal is seeking a Program Manager to support the execution and oversight of complex defense-related programs and contracts. The selected candidate will assist in planning, directing, and coordinating contract operations while ensuring regulatory compliance, workforce efficiency, fiscal integrity, and successful program execution. This role requires demonstrated experience supporting research and development efforts for defense organizations and leading multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced operational environments.
Responsibilities
- Planning, directing, and coordinating program and contract operations supporting defense-related initiatives.
- Supporting the development, implementation, and execution of plans for contract management and administration.
- Overseeing program security, training, quality assurance, and operational compliance activities.
- Coordinating daily operations and activities across multiple functional areas and personnel.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and support approval of contract-related expenses.
- Monitoring program performance, schedules, staffing, deliverables, and financial execution.
- Assisting with resolving operational and programmatic issues while maintaining fiscal integrity and workforce efficiency.
- Coordinating with government stakeholders, leadership teams, and subcontractors to support mission objectives.
- Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and operational processes to improve program execution.
- Supervising and supporting personnel involved in contract execution activities.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in program or operations management supporting government or commercial contracts.
- Experience developing, implementing, and executing plans for contract management, contract administration, security, training, and quality assurance.
- Experience providing regulatory compliance oversight and approval of contract-related expenses.
- Experience planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities of personnel involved in all aspects of contract execution.
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated supervisory experience planning, developing, and executing research and development efforts for defense organizations.
- Ability to integrate problem resolution into ongoing operations without loss of fiscal integrity or workforce efficiency.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or DARPA programs.
- Experience supporting research and development initiatives within advanced technology or national security environments.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience briefing government and contractor leadership teams.
- Familiarity with program financial management, staffing oversight, and contract performance metrics
