Job Overview
Job Opportunity – Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Cardiothoracic Surgery
Start Date: Immediate openings with flexible start dates available
Location: Available upon application
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM with call coverage from 4:30 PM – 7:00 AM; 24/7 trauma coverage support; includes hospital, OR, ICU, and clinic rotations
Highlights:
- Comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery experience including CVOR procedures and first assist responsibilities
- Balanced mix of inpatient rounding, clinic management (1 day/week scheduled), and surgical assisting
- Opportunity to perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and assist with cardiothoracic procedures
- Low-volume after-hours call for cardiothoracic cases
- EMR system: eCW
- Average patient volume: 25 patients
Requirements:
- Board Certified Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or surgical specialty preferred
- First assist experience and proficiency in vein harvesting techniques
- Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient cardiothoracic cases independently
