Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA license or certification, meeting state requirements
- Experience assisting with speech-language therapy in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to follow treatment plans designed by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations and adapting to their unique needs
- Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive therapeutic practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students in developing speech, language, and communication skills according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Accurately document student progress and report on outcomes to supervisors and educational teams
- Prepare therapy materials and assist during group and one-on-one sessions
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents as needed
