Summary
A well-established general contractor is seeking a Lead Multifamily Superintendent with 10–20 years’ experience working for a general contractor on multifamily construction projects. This role requires strong field leadership and proven experience running day-to-day operations on ground-up multifamily builds — including podium, wrap, and garden-style projects.
The ideal candidate can manage large trade crews, maintain quality control, enforce safety, and keep complex multifamily projects on schedule and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily field operations for ground-up multifamily projects
Oversee subcontractors, trade partners, and field personnel
Schedule and coordinate multiple trades, deliveries, and site logistics
Manage site safety, quality control, and jobsite inspections
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
Conduct daily/weekly planning, look-ahead schedules, and site meetings
Ensure clean, organized, and productive jobsite culture
Report field progress, productivity, and issues to project management
Prepare daily reports, RFI responses, submittals, change order requests, and logs
Mentor assistant superintendents, foremen, and field staff
Qualifications
10–20 years of superintendent experience in commercial/multifamily construction
Proven track record on ground-up multifamily projects (podium, wrap, garden)
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to manage large crews and maintain field productivity
Familiarity with scheduling, coordination, and quality control
Experience with field documentation, reporting, and subcontractor oversight
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred
