Location: On-Site | Herndon, VA

Emergent Technologies Inc., a veteran-owned provider of secure and innovative IT solutions, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting a critical Citrix virtual environment for a key government customer. This role is part of a highly skilled team providing Tier 4 operational and maintenance support for enterprise-level virtual applications and desktops.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 4 technical support for enterprise Citrix environments

• Monitor, triage, and resolve issues from the technical ticket queue
  
  
• Support ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) for Citrix-based solutions

• Collaborate with team members to identify root causes and deliver timely solutions

• Support Citrix infrastructure deployed on Hyper-V and Nutanix platforms

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field

• Minimum of 11 years of relevant systems engineering experience

• Demonstrated experience in:
  • Citrix App and Desktop Virtualization
    
    
  • General virtualization concepts and technologies
    
    
  • Windows operating systems (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)

  • Working with Citrix virtual apps/desktops in an enterprise environment

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Masters degree in programming, networking, or a related field

• Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, or CCE-V)

• Experience with:
  • Nutanix infrastructure

  • PowerShell scripting or other automation tools

  • Group Policy Object (GPO) administration

  • Windows 11 OS in enterprise environments
