Job Summary

T h e Grid & Market Solutions (GMS) – Resource Integration and Ongoing Operations (RIOO) software development team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Angular & Java Full Stack Developer to join the team on a contract basis.

Job Description

• Design, develop, unit test, and deploy scalable web applications using Angular (TypeScript) and Java RESTful APIs.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java (JAX-RS/Jersey implementation).
  
• Build responsive and performant front-end functionality using Angular (v11+).
  
• Integrate Java backend services with Angular front-end applications.
  
• Work with Oracle Database to store, retrieve, manage, and display application data.
  
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, materialized views, and database triggers.
  
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability across the full stack.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and implement new features.
  
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
  
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices.
  
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high code quality.
  
• Work closely with QA teams to support comprehensive testing and validation efforts.
  
• Contribute to documentation including technical specifications, system architecture, and operational procedures.
  
• Implement authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.
  
• Apply sound architectural principles and design patterns in application development.
  
• Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve development methodologies.

Job Skills Required

• Minimum 8 years of full-stack application development experience using Angular and Java technologies.
• At least 5 years of strong hands-on experience with Angular (version 11 or higher).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java (version 8 or higher) development.
• Experience developing RESTful services using JAX-RS/Jersey.
• Experience using Hibernate for ORM-based persistence.
• Strong experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL.
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, materialized views, and triggers.
• Experience with front-end state management libraries, preferably NgRx.
• Solid understanding of web application architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms and related services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of security principles in web application development.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Pay Rate

• $68.50 - $78.50 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
