Mechanical Service Technician

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to assist with machine installations and service throughout North America. This role involves building and installing machines, integrating auxiliary devices, and providing follow-up service to ensure optimal machine operation. Responsibilities

• Assemble machines in accordance with assembly prints and engineering specifications.
• Adapt parts, drill, tap, install bearings, fit covers, and other mechanical components.
• Install hydraulic/pneumatic valves, fittings, pipes, and hoses.
• Prepare machines for integration of auxiliary devices such as safety equipment, automation systems, and induction heaters in accordance with customer design requirements and specifications.
• Power up, debug, and prove function of machine according to design specifications.
• Install and start up machine in customer facility, integrate with automation systems, and train maintenance technicians on proper operation and setup/repair of machine.
• Provide follow-up service to ensure machinery is operating according to design and specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience using basic hand and power tools such as drills, taps, grinders, and saws.
• Proficiency in using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Experience using lifting/rigging equipment to move machines and components.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly prints, detail prints, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong mechanical background or prior service experience in the machine tool industry preferred.
