This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On

• Operate the finished goods palletizer, the slip sheet dispenser, the pallet loader and the stretch wrapper and perform minor adjustments to the equipment

• Set-up and load the associated equipment

• Accurately input batch information into Cambar, affix tags to designated pallets of manufactured goods, and maintain inventory count records

• Enter the batch count into the Cambar system assuring accuracy for product trace ability and audits

• Verify batch quantity between Cambar System and computerized warehouse systems – troubleshoot any discrepancies

• Run queries and verify counts and RECO problems.

• Operate forklift truck in performance of duties; this requires obtaining a forklift license and completion of daily equipment inspection

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

Forklift Operation and/or the ability to obtain a forklift license

• Being mechanically adept with a good mathematical background is highly desirable

• Technical college computer courses

The base pay for this position is $17.15 – $34.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
