Manufacturing Shift Lead (First Shift)
This sheet metal fabricating company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Shift Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency are met. As a Manufacturing Shift Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled operators, managing production schedules, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will work closely with the production manager to implement best practices and process improvements that drive productivity and meet our operational goals. This position requires strong leadership skills, as you will motivate and develop your team to excel in their roles. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting production issues and providing real-time solutions to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the production team during assigned shifts to ensure optimal performance 7a-3:30p.
- Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating team members to enhance skill sets and efficiency.
- Coordinate with the production manager to facilitate shift scheduling and resource allocation.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and generate reports for management review.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages open communication and teamwork.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading a diverse team.
- Proficient in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime, and be adaptable to changing production needs.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
