Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.
Systems Engineer Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated engineer to develop systems for our underwater business for Imaging and Periscope applications. The Systems Engineering teams operate in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban to plan, manage and execute tasking. Success in this position requires an assertive, confident attitude and a commitment to working as a part of a team to meet critical delivery schedules.
Systems Engineer Required Tasks:
· Work in collaboration with a diverse team of technical professionals
· Work in Continuous Integration/Continuous development environment supporting Agile Methodologies
· Provide System Engineering services across all Engineering disciplines critical to developing and testing operational capabilities into an integrated architecture.
· Develop solution designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology
· Entry level knowledge of systems engineering processes, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, interface design, system integration and verification/test to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering
· Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Systems Engineer Highly Desirable Skills:
· Familiarity with model-based languages such as SysML or UML
· Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering applications and technologies such as Cameo
· Demonstrated experience with requirements development, requirements analysis, and/or requirements decomposition
· Excellent communications skills
· Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines, including Hardware, Software, Systems Engineering, and Test
Systems Engineer Additional Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering or Computer Engineering with at least a 2.5 GPA, or related engineering discipline or equivalent experience and one to five year’s professional experience.
· Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen.
· Task-driven with ability to work independently.
· Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with the team members which fosters team success.
