ServiceNow ITOM/Azure Monitoring Engineer
Our client, a leading IT Consulting firm, are hiring a ServiceNow ITOM/Azure Monitoring Engineer to join their team remotely on a 3 to 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and supporting applications in the Azure Cloud and integrating monitoring data with ServiceNow ITOM.
Responsibilities
Define and implement standards for monitoring and supporting Azure applications using SCOM, Azure Monitor and other relevant tools.
Design, deploy and manage synthetic and application performance monitoring solutions.
Establish monitoring baselines for Azure SaaS, PaaS and IaaS to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Integrate Azure Monitor alerts with ServiceNow ITOM to ensure prompt incident response.
Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting dashboards for visibility into application and infrastructure health.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.
Provide technical support for cloud-based applications and services.
Document monitoring processes, procedures and troubleshooting workflows for consistency and knowledge sharing.
Continuously enhance monitoring and support processes through automation, optimization and best practices.
Skillset
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar.
Proven experience with SCOM and Azure Monitor for application and infrastructure monitoring.
Strong expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments.
Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
Experience integrating monitoring solutions with ServiceNow event management.
Ability to create and maintain monitoring and reporting dashboards.
Familiarity with Splunk for log analysis is highly desirable.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
