Tier II Help Desk/Junior System Administrator- Full Scope Polygraph
- Provide Tier 2 support for escalated technical issues related to Windows, Linux, and/or Mac systems.
- Perform system diagnostics, maintenance, patching, and updates to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
- Monitor system performance and availability using established tools and dashboards.
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network and directory services.
- Maintain system documentation, configuration management records, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with Tier 1, Tier 3, and engineering teams to resolve complex issues.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols, data protection standards, and change management procedures.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding users and managing access permissions.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis for system outages or breaches.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of networking principles with experience setting up and troubleshooting 3+ years of experience in a system administration role, preferably in a cleared environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and/or Linux systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, or other DoD 8570-compliant certifications.
- Experience supporting classified systems or working within a secure facility.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework or ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.
- Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
