As a Security Guard - Perimeter Patrol Rounds in Petersburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, conducting routine rounds and staying visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will monitor activity, respond to issues, and deliver top-tier customer service through clear communication and professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech campus or data center location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, manage visitor check-in processes, and report unauthorized entry attempts per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and/or alarms, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders when needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate observations and/or escalation needs to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have CPR and/or First Aid certification, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
