• Location: North Chesterfield, VA (zip 23235) – Richmond area
• Facility: 2 North Oncology Unit, 24 beds
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 18, 2025 – November 17, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing
• Unit Staffing: 2 Patient Care Technicians per shift, 1 Unit Secretary (day shift)
• Documentation System: Meditech EMR
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary

• Weekly Salary Range: $1750-$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Virginia or compact state) – required for travel nursing jobs
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
• Oncology or bone marrow transplant experience preferred
• Ability to work 4 weekend nights per assignment (Saturday and Sunday)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems (Meditech preferred)

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to oncology patients
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and patients using iMobile phones for effective communication
• Participate in bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounds, and utilize patient whiteboards
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Promote positive patient experiences and uphold unit guidelines and healthcare policies
