Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This individual will lead complex accounting projects, ensure compliance with US GAAP reporting requirements, and serve as a subject matter expert for technical accounting matters across the organization. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective communication across departments and with external auditors.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Research, analyze, and document complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, leases, accounting for mergers and acquisitions and other relevant technical areas and strategic transactions.
• Draft and maintain accounting policies, white papers, and internal controls documentation
• Lead the accounting team through acquisition integration and purchase accounting
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting for compliance with debt covenants
• Collaborate with auditors and FP&A teams to ensure accurate financial statements and disclosures
• Work with tax preparers to ensure tax compliance and the proper accounting for taxes
• Partner with legal, treasury, operations, and other stakeholders on business initiatives with accounting implications
• Lead or support special projects, including process improvements and system implementations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - REQUIRED
• CPA certification - REQUIRED
• 5+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting or equivalent technical accounting advisory experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
• Excellent technical research and writing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems like Great Plains or Netsuite
• Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
