Certified Nursing Assistant (Open)

Sign on Bonus Eligible: $3,000 per applicable guidelines (external hires only) Hours: day shift, three 12 hour shifts Here is an opportunity to thrive and bring your valuable skills to life within a setting known for providing the best quality care to patients. As a clinical associate, you will provide basic clinical services to patients and clerical support to the unit health-care team.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcomes and assists patients and visitors with registration.
• May assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Coordinates patient flow into/out of area using department/unit specific software and Intranet. Schedules patient therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
• May review medical records for outstanding orders and notifies nurse of stat orders and medication changes.
• Cleans unit-based equipment and gathers supplies needed to operate equipment between patients as needed.
• Transports patients, supplies specimens and equipment within the facility.
• May assist with chart audits.
• May perform unit-based patient care tasks for patients.
• May participate in the sitter process
• Interacts with patients, visitors, physicians, and other health professionals.
• Answers incoming calls via telephone and patient call system. Routes calls as needed and takes messages.
• Provides scheduling coverage support for department/unit staff scheduling, including back up coverage.
• Operates and maintains general office equipment. Orders department/unit supplies and equipment and stocks/organizes supplies.
• Serves as a resource for department/unit software system.
• Monitors cleanliness of waiting and break rooms and performs safety/environmental rounds.
• Assists with maintaining regulatory compliance in unit.

Please note - employee must attend mandatory orientation classes during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm for the first 2 weeks of employment. All classes require to be in person except for 2 online classes.

What We Require:

Education: High school graduate or GED.

Experience: None.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: None unless the following: Critical Access Area - Certified Nursing Assistant is required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills. Must be organized and self-motivated. Must have knowledge of office procedure and equipment.
