We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Design Engineer to join our dynamic team, supporting the planning, design, and implementation of advanced AV systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from initial planning through installation and testing, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet client specifications and project goals.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other relevant data to plan and develop program activities throughout the project lifecycle.

- Coordinate and perform the design, testing, and installation of AV equipment and systems in field installations.

- Oversee and conduct performance tests to evaluate system functionality and ensure compliance with project requirements.

- Prepare detailed AV engineering packages, including specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for clients.

- Assist with planning and coordinating work activities to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design (CAD) software and equipment to perform engineering tasks accurately.

- Provide technical advice and guidance to resolve problems, optimize system performance, and meet financial objectives.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of AV equipment, systems, and industry standards.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Effective communication and coordination abilities with clients and team members.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing project requirements.

- Knowledge of project management principles and practices is a plus.

• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and testing of complex audiovisual systems
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent specialized AV technical training and experience
• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential

Proven proficiency in engineering AV technologies, including:

• Projection and display systems
• Video teleconferencing platforms
• Advanced audio systems
• Control and automation systems
• Signal switching and distribution infrastructure
