Join AMFM Healthcare as a Clinical Supervisor (Primary Therapist III)

Location: Northern Virginia (Fairfax Station, Annandale, Vienna, Great Falls)
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | Includes some on-call/weekend flexibility

Compensation: $98,000-$104,000 annually.

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a Primary Therapist III to join our dedicated and compassionate team. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our mission—providing exceptional, person-centered care in a structured and supportive residential environment.

As a Primary Therapist III , you'll take the lead in developing and guiding the treatment of your clients from admission to discharge. You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team to set treatment goals, conduct in-depth assessments, deliver individual, group, and family therapy, and ensure the highest quality of clinical care.

• Conduct clinical evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, and diagnostic impressions

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (ISP) that are recovery-focused and collaborative

• Provide therapeutic interventions including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and crisis counseling

• Coordinate ongoing care and referrals as needed to ensure continuity of treatment

• Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups

• Document all services in our Electronic Health Records system

• Communicate with insurance companies for pre-certifications and continued stay reviews

• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and case consultations

• Provide supervision services to our resident or supervisee level clinicians

• Be available for on-call responsibilities as needed

• Master’s degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field

• Full, unrestricted clinical license in the state of Virginia:

  • LMFT, LCSW, or LPC (must be able to provide clinical supervision to residents or supervisees)

• Active registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling or Department of Health Professions

• Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders

• Proficiency in facilitating a range of group modalities (psychoeducational, process, DBT, CBT, etc.)

• CPR/First Aid certification and current TB clearance

• Must be able to pass background checks (DBHDS, BIU, VDSS)

• Physical ability to meet basic job demands, including documentation and client interaction
