Compliance Specialist - Export Controls & Government Contract Compliance

Our client is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support regulatory, export‑control, and contract‑compliance activities across federal programs.
Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance
Responsibilities:
- Support FAR/DFARS compliance across active government contracts.
- Assist with compliance training, reporting, and documentation management.
- Manage ITAR/EAR jurisdiction/classification, export licensing, and recordkeeping.
- Partner with Legal, Contracts, IT, Security, HR, and Finance on compliance matters.
- Oversee ATF import compliance including Forms 6/6A, FFL/FEL, and AECA registration.
- Prepare for and support DCMA/DCAA audits, internal reviews, and corrective‑action tracking.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- 3+ years in Aerospace & Defense or Government Contracting.
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal‑contract compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Compliance, or related field.
- Hands‑on experience with ITAR/EAR export controls and ATF import controls.
Nice-to-Haves:
- CCEP, CIA, or CISSP.
- Experience supporting NIST 800‑171/CMMC environments.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid U.S. passport.
- Occasional travel.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance (as required by contract)
