A skilled pharmacist is needed to provide expert pharmacy services on a per diem basis in Norfolk, VA. This opportunity allows for flexible scheduling while working independently within a retail pharmacy setting, utilizing PioneerRx Pharmacy software.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper usage and potential side effects.
- Manage daily pharmacy operations independently during assigned shifts.
- Utilize PioneerRx Pharmacy software for processing prescriptions and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy.
Schedule:
- Thursday, 6/4/2026: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday, 6/5/2026: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday, 6/18/2026: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday, 6/19/2026: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Valid and active VA pharmacist license.
- Minimum of one year recent retail pharmacy experience.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn PioneerRx Pharmacy software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make confident clinical decisions.
