Echo Tech Job Details
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel Echo Tech contract)
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Echo/Vascular Tech Unit
- Location: Rocky Mount, VA 24151 (Southwestern Virginia healthcare jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week)
- Hours per Week: 40
- No call, no weekends required
- Equipment Used: Philips ultrasound systems, Epic EMR
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500-$2560
- Minimum 2 years of recent Echo Tech or Cardiac Sonographer experience
- Previous travel Echo Tech assignment experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Vascular ultrasound experience preferred
- Active Echo Tech license (Virginia or compact state)
- Certifications: ARDMS, RVS, CCI RCS, or RDCS/RDCS-RVT
- BLS certification required
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Perform comprehensive echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies for adult and geriatric patients
- Operate Philips ultrasound equipment and document findings in Epic EMR
- Conduct imaging procedures in ICU and Emergency Department settings as needed
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques: 2-D/3-D Echo, Color Doppler, Bubble Study, LV Strain/Volume, M-Mode, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain compliance with infection control and isolation protocols
- Complete required orientation modules and Epic training
