Echo Tech Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel Echo Tech contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Echo/Vascular Tech Unit
• Location: Rocky Mount, VA 24151 (Southwestern Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week)
• Hours per Week: 40
• No call, no weekends required
• Equipment Used: Philips ultrasound systems, Epic EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500-$2560

Echo Tech Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Echo Tech or Cardiac Sonographer experience
• Previous travel Echo Tech assignment experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Vascular ultrasound experience preferred
• Active Echo Tech license (Virginia or compact state)
• Certifications: ARDMS, RVS, CCI RCS, or RDCS/RDCS-RVT
• BLS certification required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Echo Tech Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies for adult and geriatric patients
• Operate Philips ultrasound equipment and document findings in Epic EMR
• Conduct imaging procedures in ICU and Emergency Department settings as needed
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques: 2-D/3-D Echo, Color Doppler, Bubble Study, LV Strain/Volume, M-Mode, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with infection control and isolation protocols
• Complete required orientation modules and Epic training
