JOB TITLE: AIRCRAFT QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

DEPARTMENT: QUALITY ASSURANCE

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

LOCATION: BLACKSTONE, VA

PRIMARY FUNCTION

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Flight Operations Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence in our flight operations. This role requires a strong background in quality assurance within the aviation industry and a commitment to continuous improvement.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of flight operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures to enhance operational safety and efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate flight operations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Perform audits and assessments of flight crews, maintenance personnel, and operational processes.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, including recommendations for corrective actions and improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality assurance practices within the overall flight operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in flight operations quality assurance.
  • Provide training and guidance to flight crews and support staff on quality assurance standards and procedures.
  • Ensure readiness for deployment to various locations to conduct on-site inspections and audits as needed.
  • Represent the company in meetings with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years of experience in flight operations quality assurance or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, quality assurance practices, and flight operations.
  • Up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and deploy to various locations as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree in a related field .
  • Certification in quality assurance or equivalent experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position may require travel to various locations for inspections and audits.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
