RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define standard processes and tools to handle defects and ensure proper execution to improve equipment reliability and performance
• Lead Breakdown Elimination efforts through structured problem-solving
• Partner with operators to ensure defects are resolved and breakdowns are prevented
• Determine and prioritize planned maintenance needs, scheduling accordingly
• Share best practices across Reliability Leads to foster continuous improvement
• Maintain strong communication with the maintenance department to align priorities
• Continuously improve maintenance processes including Defect Handling and Breakdown Elimination
• Reduce negative impacts on machine reliability through proactive strategies

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong passion for leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve reliability goals.
• Hands-on expertise in electrical, automation, or controls engineering within a manufacturing environment; paper mill experience is highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of reliability principles, maintenance processes, and condition-based monitoring for electrical systems.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex electrical and automation systems, including PLCs, drives, sensors, and networked controls.
• Knowledge of Lean Production System practices and a continuous-improvement mindset, an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation, industrial technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering within a high-speed manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in the paper industry, particularly with paper machine electrical and control systems, is highly desirable.
