Legal Assistant

Woods Rogers is seeking to hire an experienced Legal Assistant to join our exceptional legal staff. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys across a range of legal practice areas, with commercial real estate or labor and employment experience strongly preferred. This is a full-time, non-exempt role in our Norfolk office. The anticipated schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with an unpaid lunch break.

Required Qualification

• sPrevious experience as a Legal Assistant
• .Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes
• .Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
• .Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• .High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information
• .Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook

• esProvide day-to-day secretarial support to the Firm’s attorneys, including scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and processing incoming and outgoing mai
• l.Produce, review, and send legal documents and report
• s.Enter billable time into timekeeping syste
• m.Complete all billing and invoicing tasks in a timely manne
• r.Navigate government and court websites to understand and comply with requirements for filings and procedure
• s.File case documents and close files as neede
• d.Communicate effectively with potential clients via phone, email, and in-person meeting
• s.Follow established procedures to refer and coordinate conflict checks as neede
• d.Take initiative to reach out to attorneys and staff members who may need assistanc
