Vice President of Human Resources
Join our client, a leading healthcare organization in the not-for-profit sector, committed to transforming the landscape of care through compassionate, high-quality services. Our client provides a comprehensive range of integrated services, including hospice, serious illness care, PACE, community thrift shops, and grief support, redefining the experience of aging and serious illness with respect and expertise. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead their Human Resources department as the Vice President of Human Resources, directly contributing to their mission of delivering extraordinary care.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of strategic human resources initiatives that align with organizational goals and service line needs.
- Collaborate closely with executive and senior leadership to facilitate organizational growth, workforce strategy, and succession planning.
- Serve as an advisor on complex employee relations issues, performance management, and key HR initiatives.
- Actively participate in cross-functional committees and strategic initiatives.
Human Resources Operations
- Oversee comprehensive HR operations, ensuring consistent delivery of HR services across departments.
- Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation are current, compliant, and effectively implemented.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Direct end-to-end talent acquisition strategies to attract, onboard, and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with leaders to evaluate staffing needs and develop workforce planning solutions.
- Guide recruitment processes including applicant tracking, job postings, interviews, and employment verification.
Employee Relations and Organizational Excellence
- Cultivate a positive workplace by addressing employee concerns with professionalism.
- Lead investigations into employee relations issues, grievances, and policy violations.
- Support performance management and employee development through structured programs.
Compensation, Benefits, and Leave Administration
- Oversee compensation and benefits strategies, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Manage employee benefits programs and coordinate annual enrollment with vendors.
- Stay informed on regulatory developments affecting compensation and benefits.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and standards, including FLSA, ADA, and FMLA.
- Manage risk through oversight of workers' compensation programs and regulatory audits.
- Implement and update HR practices to reflect legal and regulatory changes.
Training and Development
- Drive staff development through targeted training programs and leadership coaching.
- Facilitate HR training on supervisory skills, compliance, and performance management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of progressive HR experience
