Job Title: Yard Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a Yard Technician to expertly operate and maintain a variety of equipment around the yard. This role involves hands-on technical work, ensuring all machinery is functioning optimally and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as Mini Excavators, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Forklifts, and Skidsteers.
• Perform greasing of equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Clean and power wash equipment to maintain hygiene and efficiency.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance on all yard equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and general labor skills.
• Experience as an equipment operator, especially in construction.
• Knowledge in maintenance and repair of machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Good communication skills for customer engagement.
• Experience with forklifts, excavators, and skidsteers is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment with a Monday to Friday shift from 7am to 5pm in Ashland, VA. This role requires hands-on interaction with various equipment and offers a structured schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
