Data Center Cable Technician – Manassas, VA (Onsite)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Duration: 4 months (strong chance to convert to full-time)

Pay Rate

• Level 1 Technicians: $19–$22/hr
• Level 2 Technicians: $23–$27/hr
• (OT paid at 1.5x)

About the Project

A large data center build in Manassas, VA requires an experienced team of cable technicians. The initial project is 8.5 weeks , with multiple additional projects lined up. Strong performers will have a high chance of converting to permanent employment.

Required Experience

Candidates must have at least 2 years of data center experience.

Anything less than 2 years is not eligible for consideration.

Technical Requirements

1. Fiber optic cable pulling
2. Fluke testing experience
3. Copper & fiber termination
4. Cable dressing (highly preferred)
5. Ability to clearly explain past data center work
6. Must pass background and drug test

Tools Needed

Technicians must arrive with their own tools:

• Electrician snips
• Basic hand tools (Phillips/flathead screwdrivers, wrench set, socket set)
• Hand drill (preferred; can be provided if needed)

Work Environment

• Onsite in a live data center
• Construction-style setting
• Full PPE required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr.
