We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to join our team supporting Department of Navy.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the system hardening of DoD systems through secure configuration and implementation of best practices.
- Apply and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure system compliance.
- Conduct vulnerability scans using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool.
- Assist in the remediation of vulnerabilities, including the implementation of vendor patches across both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Interpret and apply Security Management policy guidance and DoD directives related to system and network security.
- Contribute to RMF compliance and cybersecurity documentation in collaboration with senior cybersecurity staff.
- Work alongside experienced engineers to implement boundary defense measures and maintain secure configurations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Active DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (One of the Following):
- CCNA Security
- CySA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
- SSCP
- CND
- CASP+ CE
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- CISSP (or Associate)
- GCED
- GCIH
- CCSP
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time professional cybersecurity experience, including:
- System hardening efforts using DoD security guidelines.
- Performing STIG implementations on various platforms.
- Running vulnerability assessments using ACAS.
- Interpreting and applying DoD security policies and directives.
- Applying patches and resolving vulnerabilities on Linux and Windows operating systems.

- Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
