• Start Date: March 9, 2026 (orientation every other Monday)
• Shift: 12?hour night shifts
• Average Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800 - $1890
• Weekend Requirement: 2–3 weekends per month

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a Compact State (required upon start)
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in Med?Surg Oncology, oncology nursing, or a closely related specialty
• Prior travel nursing experience required (travel RN experience preferred)
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to explain any gaps in work history over 90 days
• Skills checklist and Nursys/license copy required with submission
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• No Chemotherapy certification required for this position (but oncology/chemo experience is a plus)

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient?centered oncology nursing care to adult oncology patients in a Med?Surg environment
• Perform charge nurse duties as needed (training provided; pay differential available)
• Float to other units as required based on facility needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Participate in orientation, ongoing education, and unit competency assessments
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and adhere to facility protocols and quality standards
• Work scheduled weekends (2–3 per month) and provide reliable coverage for assigned shifts
