Perioperative Clerical Coord

Fair Oaks is Seeking a Perioperative Clerical Coordinator is responsible for supporting clinical teams throughout the PeriOp departments, Pre-Op, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), G.E, Materials Management, Sterile Processing, and O.R. to maximize team efficiency by performing various administrative tasks. Daily responsibilities may include working in MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, Epic, MyChart, Oracle, walking through/to PeriOp departments, and preparing surgical patient information folders. Will report to the PeriOp Admin Manager working in a teamwork environment with the admins for cross coverage, individual daily responsibilities, and support various processes and projects within PeriOp.

***Please Note. - Cross coverage Flexible but typically 9-5pm *** Job Responsibilities

• Assists admin team with maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for Inova Patients, Team Members, and Providers.
• Facilitates a teamwork environment, by effectively using databases and communicating via email, and in MS Teams applications.
• Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with other team members, and departments, sometimes in a fast-paced environment.
• Participates in daily team review of scheduled surgical cases and arranges for all reasonably anticipated requirements by facilitating virtual meetings and communications.
• Updates patient or procedure related items in patient record or O.R. schedule in Epic.
• Ensures that surgical patient discharge folders are available and have the correct patient identification on them.
• Ensures that all relevant staff and departments are informed promptly of changes, delays and/or specific patient needs.
• Collaborates with members and departments within PeriOp to place I.T. tickets, Engineering Requests, and assist with New Team Member onboarding tasks.
• Orders and stocks office and coffee supplies for PeriOp departments.
• Have interest in learning general knowledge of clinical support operations in the surgical field to support the PeriOp department in a non-clinical capacity.
Other duties may develop and be assigned, which could include patient some communication.

Additional Requirements Experience - 1 year of relevant experience

Education - High School diploma or equivalent
